Holiday Ice’s Arctic-Temp AR-L lets seafood, meat, and produce plants freeze ice outdoors or dockside while the condenser sits wherever’s convenient.
LONGWOOD, FL, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Facilities that process seafood, meat, and fresh produce outdoors or in open-bay loading areas face a recurring challenge: keeping ice production reliable when the equipment itself has to live outside. Holiday Ice, Inc., a global industrial ice machine manufacturer with more than 60 years of operating history, addresses this with its Arctic-Temp® AR-L remote configuration, including the 1000 AR-L, which produces up to 6,000 lbs of cracked ice per day.
Ice Machine Configuration Applications
The AR-L industrial ice machine configuration separates the ice-making section from the condensing unit, so the freezing tubes can be installed outdoors at the point of use, on a dock, an open-bay produce line, or an exterior wall. While the condensing unit is positioned wherever is most practical for the facility. For seafood processors icing catch dockside or produce operations icing in open-air packing areas, that flexibility removes a common bottleneck: routing ice from an indoor machine to an outdoor work area.
Remote Industrial Ice Maker AR-L and RCU Models
Every Arctic-Temp® machine is built from Type-304 stainless steel and hand-assembled with TIG-welded vertical, double-walled evaporator tubes that freeze ice on both interior and exterior surfaces, a freezing zone with no augers, gears, or seals to fail. Units run on Copeland compressors and are factory leak-tested, vacuum-tested, charged, and calibrated before shipment, then backed by a one-year parts warranty and a five-year evaporator tube warranty.
“The AR-L configuration exists because our customers told us they needed the freezing section outside and the compressor somewhere protected, and that a machine with no moving parts in the freezing zone still needed to be serviceable with parts any local refrigeration wholesaler already carries,” said David Harbit, Representative of Holiday Ice, Inc.
Holiday Ice, Inc. ships its Arctic-Temp® line to customers in dozens of countries across North America, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Oceania, serving seafood processing, meat and poultry processing, fresh produce handling, bakeries, correctional facility food service, and ice plants and distributors.
